MIDDLE SCHOOL ESSAY WRITING COURSE (Grades 6 - 8)

In our Middle School Essay Writing Course, students will learn how to write the three fundamental essays that assure academic writing success: Informative/Explanatory (aka Research Paper), Literary Analysis, and Argument/Persuasive.
The three essays are taught in three parts:
Part 1 teaches students how to research, read critically, find evidence, and write an outline.
Part 2 walks students sentence-by-sentence through every line of the essay. Students just follow along as they write their own essay.
Part 3 teaches students citation and formatting of the essay.
The three videos equal a run-time of two hours. In total, you get over six hours of video lessons. One of the best aspects of the video course is that students can simply hit the REWIND button to go back over the material. Then, they can come to weekly ZOOM Office Hours to ask a question or get help.
As students go through the course, they learn the single most important writing skill students can learn—how to read a story or article and then analyze that reading in a written response. Learning this skill NOW puts students ahead of the “pack” and squarely on the road to success! This skill seems way too hard, complex, or difficult for most, but it’s so much when easier when students learn how to work with the three cornerstones of all communication—claim, evidence, and analysis.
